Paramount+ UK & Ireland has announced the recommissioning of the psychological thriller series THE EX-WIFE for a second season.
THE EX-WIFE 2 (4 x 60”) will feature Celine Buckens (Show Trial, War Horse, The Castaways) and Tom Mison (Sleepy Hollow, Watchmen, See) reprising their roles as Tasha and Jack. Jordan Stephens (Tucked, Foundation, Smothered) also returns as Sam, while Katie McGrath (The Continental, Supergirl, Jurassic World) joins the cast in the lead role of Jen.
The series is co-produced by Clapperboard Studios, Blackbox Multimedia, and Night Train Media, which provided international financing and holds worldwide distribution rights alongside All3Media International. Filming for THE EX-WIFE 2 is currently underway in Cyprus.
The second season picks up three years after the dramatic events of the first series, with Tasha now hiding in Cyprus with her daughter Emily (Liberty Miller: Malpractice), while Jen prepares to remarry.
Living under false identities, Tasha has started a new life for herself and Emily. However, she is forced to abandon her fresh start when she learns that Jack has been released from prison early, having served only a year of his sentence. Jack appears to be a changed man, grieving his daughter’s death and seeking redemption from a newly engaged Jen.
As the past continues to haunt Tasha, Jack, and Jen, their attempts to move on only bring them closer together. But who can they really trust, and is true change possible?
