The Apprentice film October release

The Apprentice film will be released on 18 October, it was confirmed today.

Billed as a biographical film about Donald Trump, the film stars Sebastian Stan as the controversial former President.

The film’s synopsis reads: “THE APPRENTICE is a dive into the underbelly of the American empire. It charts a young Donald Trump’s ascent to power through a Faustian deal with the influential right-wing lawyer and political fixer Roy Cohn”.

Alongside Sebastian Stan, the film will also star, Golden Globe Award and SAG Award® Winner Jeremy Strong (Succession) as the firebrand Roy Cohn, Martin Donovan (Tenet) as Fred Trump Sr, and Academy Award® & Golden Globe Award Nominee Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm) as Ivana Trump.

The film premiered In Competition at the 77th Cannes Film Festival and will be distributed by Studio Canal.
