Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest will star in Netflix’s My Oxford Year, a new romance written by Allison Burnett (Autumn in New York) and directed by BAFTA winner Iain Morris (The Inbetweeners).
Based on a novel by Julia Whelan, itself adapted from Burnett’s original screenplay.
Here’s how Netflix describe the sizzling plot; “When Anna, an ambitious young American woman, sets out for the UK and the University of Oxford to fulfill a childhood dream, she’s got her life completely on track. That is, until she meets a charming and clever local who profoundly alters both of their lives”.
Carson is known for other Netflix projects including Purple Hearts and Carry-On. Mylchreest has appeared in Netflix shows Queen Charlotte, the Bridgerton spin-off as well as Sandman.
There’s no release date, but it is likely to reach Netflix at the end of the year or early 2025.
