Scala Radio to rebrand as Magic Classical
Bauer Media Audio UK has announced that starting this September, Scala Radio, a classical music station, will be rebranded as Magic Classical and will join the Magic Radio Network, which boasts 4.4 million listeners.
Gary Stein, the Director of Audio, stated, “As Magic Classical, Scala Radio will continue to offer its dedicated audience a mix of well-known classical pieces and contemporary classical music, while also bringing the station’s fantastic talent to a broader audience.”
There will be no changes to the team, with current Scala Radio Content Director Nick Pitts taking on the role of Content Director for Magic Classical, in addition to his existing responsibilities at Jazz FM.
Additionally, it was announced today that the digital station Magic Chilled will be renamed Hits Radio Chilled from September. The lineup will remain unchanged, continuing to provide listeners with the best laid-back hits and throwbacks.
