More than half of the nation’s TV viewers watched last night’s Scotland game

The Scotland vs. Switzerland match captivated more than half of the nation’s TV viewers on Wednesday evening, as BBC Sport’s coverage of the game drew in a massive audience, keeping Scotland’s Euro 2024 hopes alive.

The BBC achieved a 54% audience share for the Scotland vs. Switzerland coverage on BBC One, peaking at 9.4 million viewers. The match was also streamed 3.6 million times on BBC iPlayer, with an average audience of 8.6 million.

Alex Kay-Jelski, Director of BBC Sport, commented: “Scotland’s performance against Switzerland showcased their true potential, and it was thrilling to see such a large audience come together to support one of our home nations at Euro 2024.
