Television personality Mark Wright is set to join the popular BBC One home-makeover series, Clean It, Fix It. Wright will co-present alongside renowned DIY expert Tommy Walsh, cleaning specialist Maxine Dwyer, and innovative carpenter Asher Edwards.
Currently filming across the UK, the much-loved series is gearing up for its return to BBC One and iPlayer in 2025. Wright will make his debut in the fourth series, assisting in transforming homes and solving practical problems, making living spaces more functional and comfortable without hefty expenses. Interested homeowners can apply to be featured in upcoming episodes.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Wright stated, “I’m passionate about property and renovations, so I’m delighted to be joining such a wonderful team and programme. I can’t wait to get stuck in and help change people’s lives and living situations. Clean It, Fix It has a heart, we come in and help people out who sometimes can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, so helping people in this way is great, and sometimes tugs on the heartstrings – especially when the owners see the finished result.”
The team will tackle various challenges over two days, from lack of storage and cleaning overhauls to fixing DIY disasters. Each episode promises to deliver practical solutions and helpful tips that viewers can implement in their own homes.
BBC Daytime Commissioner Alex McLeod commented, “With the cost of living crisis, everyone has felt the pinch at home. Clean It, Fix It not only offers light relief to audiences but can also help inspire and give them cost-effective ways to change up their homes, without costing a fortune. And now with Mark joining our brilliant team of experts, there is going to be even more laughs and probably even more tears as he gets to the heart of the stories in this series.”
Claire Simpson, Executive Producer at Curve Media, added, “The team are back and with the new addition of Mark, audiences can expect to see even more warmth and fun for this exciting new series. It’s going to be packed full of energy, tips, tricks, and solutions that anyone will be able to do at home.”
The show’s seasoned experts also shared their excitement:
Tommy Walsh remarked, “I love working on this programme. Clean It, Fix It is made with such empathy. We give people a platform that will hopefully help resolve some of the issues many of us face when trying to keep our homes tidy. We give people a foundation to build on and continue to live brighter, happier lives.”
