Joe Swash and ‘The Batch Lady’ to host Buy It, Batch It, Cook It for Channel 4

Bestselling food author and social media sensation Suzanne Mulholland, also known as The Batch Lady, teams up with presenter and bestselling cookbook writer Joe Swash for a new six-part series on Channel 4, in partnership with Lidl. In this series, Suzanne and Joe will assist a diverse range of families in maximizing their food budgets, organizing their menus, and improving their meals. Their goal is to streamline meal preparation to just one hour a week by batch cooking, freezing, and storing multiple meals at once.

Suzanne and Joe will craft personalized menus that cater to each family’s favorite foods and time-saving needs. With over half a million online followers and a series of Sunday Times bestsellers, Suzanne, a former time management trainer, has become the go-to expert for families looking to simplify dinner preparation.

Suzanne expresses her excitement: “It’s a dream come true to front a cookery TV series on Channel 4. When I started The Batch Lady, I never imagined it would inspire such a following or lead to bestselling books and primetime TV. I’m thrilled to work with Joe to transform the lives of families across the UK, one batch at a time.”

Joe Swash, a busy parent himself, authored the hit 2022 recipe book Joe’s Kitchen, which taught readers how to make family-friendly, budget-conscious meals. Joe comments: “The past few years have been challenging, especially with the rising cost of food. Suzanne and I hope to provide households with the tools to save money and spend more quality time together as a family.”

Joanna Gomer, Marketing Director at Lidl GB says: We’re really excited to partner with this series on Channel 4 and extend our partnership with Suzanne, to help more families make their money go further. We’re always big on quality, Lidl on price, and together with Suzanne and Joe’s practical advice and real life examples,  we hope to help households across the nation get the most out of their time and money, and discover new joys of cooking.”
