Disclaimer: Apple TV+ release first trailer for Cate Blanchett’s new thriller

Apple TV+ has just unveiled the first teaser for “Disclaimer,” an eagerly awaited psychological thriller featuring Academy Award winners Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline. This limited series, composed of seven chapters, is set to premiere globally on Friday, October 11, 2024, with the release of the first two episodes. New episodes will continue to air every Friday through November 15, 2024.

“Disclaimer,” written and directed by five-time Academy Award winner Alfonso Cuarón, is adapted from Renée Knight’s best-selling novel of the same name. The story follows Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett), a renowned journalist known for exposing the hidden wrongdoings of others. Her life takes a shocking turn when she receives a novel from an anonymous author and realizes that she is the main character in a story that unveils her deepest secrets.

As Catherine races to uncover the author’s identity, she must face her own past before it unravels her life and jeopardizes her relationships with her husband Robert (Sacha Baron Cohen) and their son Nicholas (Kodi Smit-McPhee). The series boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George, Hoyeon, and features Indira Varma as the narrator.

Produced by Apple Studios in collaboration with Esperanto Filmoj and Anonymous Content, “Disclaimer” is executive produced by Cuarón and Gabriela Rodriguez for Esperanto Filmoj, with Blanchett also serving as an executive producer.
