Denise Van Outen to present Channel 4’s Secrets of the Supermarket Buyers

In Secrets of the Supermarket Buyers, Denise Van Outen engages with current and former buyers from the UK’s largest supermarket chains to uncover how they decide what products to offer to consumers. From discount disruptors to premium grocers, this series reveals the strategies used by these behind-the-scenes buyers to stock popular items in stores and, ultimately, in shoppers’ trolleys. How do they forecast demand and anticipate the next big trends?

This 4 part series is produced by Glasgow-based Firecrest Films for Channel 4. Firecrest Films previously brought Channel 4 the successful Denise Van Outen projects Secrets of the Middle Aisle (2022) and Secrets of the Supermarket Own-Brands (2023), which attracted consolidated audiences of 1.4 million and 1.6 million viewers, respectively.
