This year’s Cooking with the Stars competition will launch Wednesday 30 July at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
Emma Willis and Tom Allen return to host the exhilarating new cooking competition, where eight celebrities are paired with professional chefs who will mentor them, aiming to transform them from amateur cooks to culinary experts in just a few weeks.
This season’s celebrity contestants include Paralympian Ellie Simmonds, model and presenter Abbey Clancy, athlete Linford Christie, actor and television host Christopher Biggins, presenter Carol Vorderman, comedian Katherine Ryan, YouTuber Harry Pinero, and Strictly professional dancer Pasha Kovalev.
Produced by South Shore and co-funded by Marks & Spencer, this six-part series will air this summer on ITV1, ITVX, STV, and STV Player.
Throughout the series, the celebrities will be guided by their Chef Mentors as they compete to create the winning dish in a series of intense Cooking Battles. The loser of each Battle will face the dreaded Cook Off, where they must fight for their place in the competition. Judged blindly by all the chefs, there is a chance that the losing celebrity could be sent home by their own mentor. Who will rise to the challenge and emerge as the culinary champion of this thrilling competition?
Emma Willis said “I’m so excited to be heading back into the Cooking With The Stars kitchen alongside Tom for an all new series. We have a brilliant new line-up of celebrities who are set to be put to the test. You never know what their capabilities are which makes it a lot of fun. And if we’re lucky, we get to mop up the leftovers from the worktops!”
Tom Allen said “I cannot believe how lucky I am to watch another batch of celebrities – all pretty much clueless in the kitchen – turning out the most amazing dishes. All in a bid to get their hands on my golden frying pan. Emma and I are back in the Cooking With The Stars kitchen and we are over the moon!”
