The Great British Bake Off 2023 Week 1 theme revealed
News: The Great British Bake Off returns with a brand new series, beginning with the theme of Cake Week on Tuesday 27 September, 2023,at 8pm.
The Great British Bake Off is back, as the nation's most famous tent gets pitched in the grounds of Welford Park once again.
New presenter Alison Hammond joins Noel Fielding to lead the latest batch of bakers through 30 brand new challenges set by judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. Kicking off the series, the bakers have their first opportunity to impress the judges in Cake Week.
In the signature they're challenged to produce the perfect vertical layer cake. Next, under the fabled gingham cloth are the ingredients for the first technical, an iconic chocolate cake that should be very familiar. Finally, a sponge showstopper features a menagerie of animals, giving the bakers a chance to express their architectural skills. Twelve bakers. Three challenges.
