Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Luton: Who is performing on Friday?
Greg James has announced the first big names performing at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Luton on the Friday, with Chase And Status headlining the night.
Greg revealed on Radio 1 Breakfast today that Becky Hill, Ella Henderson, Rudimental and Chase and Status will all be performing on the main stage on night one of this year’s event, which the station has supersized to run across four stages over three days.
The New Music Stage will be co-headlined by Diplo and Eric Prydz. Joining them will be Dimension, Hannah Laing, Kenya Grace and Sonny Fodera.
The event will take place in Stockford Park, Luton fro Friday 27 May to Sunday 29 May 2024.
“This year it’s bigger than ever,” Greg told listeners while broadcasting from Luton earlier this year. “We’re doing a really big Big Weekend.
“For the first time all four stages are on for all three days.”
He added that the annual festival is “our favourite time of year and we love taking it somewhere new.
“It’s a simple mission really: we just want everyone who comes along to have the best time.”
