ITV confirms start date for Douglas is Cancelled

Douglas is Cancelled will launch Thursday 27 June on ITV1 and ITVX.

Douglas Is Cancelled is a four-part comedy drama about cancel culture, set in the world of television news, starring Hugh Bonneville, Karen Gillan, Ben Miles, Alex Kingston, Nick Mohammed and Simon Russell Beale and written by Primetime Emmy and BAFTA Winning screenwriter Steven Moffat.

National treasure news presenter Douglas Bellowes tells a sexist joke at a wedding – will his career survive? And is anyone, at home or at the office really on his side?

Speaking recently about is TV work, Moffat said he may never return to Doctor Who. He said:

“It is entirely possible that I won’t write [for] Doctor Who again,” he said. “I don’t know. I mean, after Christmas, I’m not lying. I’m not involved in series two. My contribution, in effect, is the Christmas special.

“I’ve got quite a lot of things that are coming in for me to do, so I might never write Doctor Who again. What I feel slightly sad about is, even if I do another one, I probably won’t know when I’ve done my last one.”
