Review: Middleton's Steakhouse (Leicester)

Middletons Steakhouse restaurants offer a fantastic range of grilled meats, seafood, burgers and delicious homemade desserts, which you can enjoy at their stylish, comfortable restaurants in King's LynnNorwich,Milton KeynesColchester, Watford and now & Leicester

When The Version were invited to go along to their newest establishment, we couldn't resist.

Middleton's Leicester is located in the iconic former NatWest bank building, in the heart of the City Centre.  The red carpet and flames outside had a touch of Hell's Kitchen about them, and more than a touch of class.

Inside, the decor is fantastic. Set across two floors, the red and black interior is sophisticated, sexy, and comfortable.  The staff who served us couldn't be faulted - they served us and answered our questions with ease and professionalism throughout.

The menu is huge and diverse. For starters, we opted for Smoked Salmon with Soda Bread and Butchers chipoloatas glazed in honey and mustard.  The portions were spot on, everything was well presented and perfectly cooked.

Middleton's Steak Menu is simply eye-watering, but there are other mains available too such as grills, fish dishes and burgers.

For our starters, we had a huge choice (see above) but we both opted to try the 6oz fillet steak (£16.95 each) with wedges.  My dining partner had the mushroom sauce whilst I chose  béarnaise sauce, despite not fully understanding what it was.  The steak was cooked beautifully - so tender and juicy, it was amazing. Personally, I didn't like my sauce at all, but I did have a taste of the mushroom sauce which was delicious.

Despite being absolutely stuffed, we then both devoured a Sundae, which again, could not be faulted.  Everything was washed down with plenty of tapwater and a couple of beers and our night was faultless.

We can't recommend Middleton's highly enough. Whether you're after a social outing with mates or colleagues, a lunch date or of course a date night, the setting and the food are second to none.
