Byron started back in 2007 with a simple mission: to do one thing, and do it properly. They serve simple, delicious hamburgers, made fresh from properly-sourced British beef and the best ingredients possible, paired with a cold craft beer or an extra-thick shake.
Each month, Byron offer customers a brand new special and this month of course, is the Christmas special. The Cheesemas No.1 consists of two 60z hamburgers, mature cheddar, smoked bacon and onion relish, onion ring, bacon island sauce and pickles. You can even add smoked bacon macaroni cheese for an extra £1.
Byron really do save the best for the festive period, the Cheesemas is simply stunning; Perhaps even one of the best burgers you'll find in the UK actually. Byron totally understand flavour and the mix of the smoked bacon and onion relish with the bacon island sauce, together with the pickles is just beautiful. It's a monster of a burger, not least with the two 6oz burgers inside. Byron really do know how to cook their meat properly and so these bad boys are juicy, succulent and simply melt in the mouth.
We ate ours together with sweet potato skinny fries which make for a light and flavoursome accompaniment and Byron's very own pale ale which is just superb.
