Review: Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza is worth every one of its five stars and more!

Our family had an unforgettable stay at the Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa in October 2024! With two kids, ages 7 and 10, we couldn’t have chosen a better destination for a family getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how immaculate and well-maintained the entire resort is, from the pristine pools to the beautifully landscaped gardens. The hotel, joined to a sister hotel which guests can also use (White Island) is just ten minutes from Ibiza airport and is nestled in the beautiful area of Playa D’en Bossa.

Exceptional Value for Money

One of the first things we noticed was the incredible value for money here. We opted for an all-inclusive package, and it was worth every penny. The variety and quality of the food and drink options were outstanding. With picky eaters in our family, the variety was a huge plus. The large buffet restaurant was outstanding. Each night there was a different theme (such as Mexican or Mediterranean) in addition to every type of salad, pizza and pasta dish you could think of. At breakfast, again, every single taste is catered for.

During the day, the Sports Bar offered endless Nacho’s, hot-dogs, burgers, salads and other goodies, and the poolside bars were a favourite with the kids for their ice creams and slushies!

From lavish breakfast buffets to snacks by the pool and gourmet dining experiences in the evening, everyone had something they loved. For parents, the cocktail options by the pool were a treat, while the kids adored the fresh juices and smoothies available throughout the day.

A La Carte Restaurants – A Highlight!

The à la carte dining was a true highlight! We made reservations for a couple of nights and were blown away by the quality and presentation. Each dish felt special, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our children’s preferences, even preparing smaller portions of gourmet dishes for them to try. We were particularly impressed by the seafront restaurant, Portifino, which offered beautiful dishes and brilliant service. We weren’t able to get into the other restaurants but when we return next year, we definitely want to try the stunning Italian! These dinners truly elevated the experience, making each evening feel like a special occasion. Everything is included in the price.

Impeccable Cleanliness & Amenities

As a family, we greatly appreciated the cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the resort. Housekeeping did a phenomenal job keeping everything spotless, which is especially comforting with kids. Our room was super comfy, very clean and everything in the mini bar was included! The pools, lounges, and even the kids’ club were always tidy and welcoming. The kids’ club, in particular, was a godsend—it provided a nice balance of fun and relaxation for everyone, with activities like beach volley ball and games consoles. Our kids loved the activities, and it allowed us to enjoy some downtime knowing they were safe and entertained.

Family-Friendly Entertainment & Facilities

The hotel offers an impressive range of entertainment options and facilities for both adults and kids. In the evenings, we enjoyed music in the impressive bar area and drinks outside by the 24 hour (yes, 24 hour!) sports bar. The numerous pools are fantastic, with separate areas for different age groups and plenty of loungers, which made it easy to keep an eye on the kids while also relaxing. They loved the kids pool and having a choice of other larger pools to enjoy too. The beach access was another huge plus, allowing us to switch up pool days with beach days without ever leaving the comfort of the resort.

Towels are included, and it all just makes everything so easy.

We also made use of the football and basketball pitch, the tennis courts and the lovely walks. There’s also a health spa which we are DEFINITELY booking into next time!

Get the app, and you’ll find a massive programme of activities from yoga to water-colour painting accompanied by wine! The choice is just out of this world.

We did venture off site a couple of times in the week, and loved taking the bus boat (30 mins walk down the beach) which took us to the simply amazing Ibiza Old Town.

Conclusion: A Fantastic Family Vacation

In summary, our stay at the Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza was a five-star experience. It’s hard to find a place that balances relaxation for parents with excitement for kids, but this resort nails it. The outstanding food options, family-friendly amenities, and beautiful, spotless surroundings make it a destination we’d highly recommend to anyone, especially families. We left with happy hearts, full bellies, and memories that will last a lifetime. We’re already planning our return visit in 2025!
